Paula PaizesPaula Paizes is the Managing Director of Ignite Capital Partners. Her unique range of skills in business, legal, finance and operations make her a valuable asset. Paula is focused on company operations and on executing on our strategic initiatives to ensure maximum client satisfaction. She is also responsible for handling all media, entertainment and tech projects for the company and providing business affairs services for several media and tech clients.

Paula has over 20 years of experience in the media and entertainment industries as a lawyer, business affairs and strategic advisor for Film, TV, Live Theatre and Digital Media projects. Paula has significant international experience working on many cross border transactions involving China, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, UK, Ukraine, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Netherlands and Canada and has direct operations experience . Paula is responsible for establishing Ignite’s partnership to executive produce the Chinese co-financed 3D disaster picture " Inversion", set to commence production in 2018.

Paula was an entertainment attorney in Australia for several years and served as in-house legal counsel to Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's Co, The Really Useful Co working in Sydney and New York. She also worked for business and legal advisory firm Business Affairs Entertainment working primarily with producers and international sales companies and served a producing deal for leading Hollywood film and TV producer Mark Gordon ("The Day After Tomorrow", "Grey's Anatomy", "Criminal Minds") and has served as an Arbitrator on film related disputes for Film Finances. She produced the feature film " Where Eskimos Live" which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and the TV show " Clubbin” for the WB network. Paula co-founded and is a sitting Board member of the pre-eminent Los Angeles based industry organization Australians in Film and has served as Vice President, President and Chairman of the Board ( www.Australiansinfilm.org). She was instrumental is establishing the prestigious Heath Ledger Scholarship for emerging artists, now in its seventh year and The Aif Breakthrough Awards, now in its 8th year and essentially growing this organization via sponsorship and strategic partnerships, from 50 members in 2001 to over 800 in 2017. Paula is fluent in Greek.
